One World Suite with Symphony
Music can bring people together in a unique way that celebrates the human spirit while promoting awareness of climate issues on our planet.
We’ve created One World Suite with Symphony because music has the power to promote positive change within all of us.
One World Suite is a work composed by Rich Shemaria for Combo Nuvo and symphony orchestra. The suite includes a collection of instrumental vignettes offering a positive message for our planet along with empowering spoken word interludes and a multimedia presentation conveying the beauty of our planet.
The work is an incredible opportunity to use music to engage audiences on ongoing climate action. Scientists know that combating climate change cannot be left to business practitioners (and politicians) alone, yet scientists struggle with communicating technical data to bring about the individual changes needed to collectively create impact. Artists can offer musical perspectives that influence our morality and encourage individuals to find positive solutions to crises such as climate change.
Combo Nuvo has performed with the Costa Rica Sinfonica Nacional, the i Solisti dell Orchestra del Teatro Verdi in Florence, Italy, the United Arab Emirates Philharmonic in Abu Dhabi and the Morin Khuur Ensemble, the National Symphony of Mongolia, among others. One of the group's unforgettable experiences was performing at the 60th Gala Celebration for East China Normal University in Shanghai, China, where they performed to an audience of 100,000 people, reaching over a billion viewers across the continent. They’ve also performed at iconic venues in New York City like the Blue Note, Birdland, and Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Lincoln Center. Their versatility and artistry have earned them the prestigious position of NYU Jazz Artist-in-Residence Ensemble.
One World Suite can be presented in a variety of ensemble sizes including:
1. Combo Nuvo’s 7-musician ensemble.
2. Combo Nuvo’s 7-musician ensemble plus string orchestra.
3. Combo Nuvo plus full 40-piece symphonic orchestra.
